The European Telemedicine Conference joins WHINN for 2015

This year the European Telemedicine Conference (ETC) 2015 will join forces with WHINN – Week of Health and INNovation; an all-encompassing event which includes conferences, innovation and business activities, which are brought together in one week all within health and innovation.

ETC, which will take place on 21-22 October in Odense, Denmark, will provide a unique international platform for healthcare delivery organisations, government leaders, clinicians, researchers and university faculties to address and discuss the latest innovations in telemedicine.

Turning Our Backs on the Perfect Solution

The bad news is that the world is facing a severe food crisis. The good news is that we already have the solution. The other bad news, though, is that misunderstanding, misinformation and apocalyptic scaremongering are threatening to block the widespread implementation of this solution.

 

When an issue generates more conspiracy theories than the deaths of Elvis and JFK combined, rational debate tends to be elusive. Things like balance, reason and facts tend to get elbowed aside by mistrust, hyperbole and inaccuracies. Today, that’s the challenge facing genetically modified crops and crop biotechnology.
