An interview with Fuchs Events + Incentives

Founded in 1993 by Christiane Fuchs, Fuchs organises top-class corporate events that are individually and exclusively designed, planned and realised. Based in Dresden, the agency aims to create interactive stagings that combine destination and emotion and live in the memory. Fuchs works with a high-quality network of partners, and it guarantees to always supervise and coordinate every event on-site and lead it to a successful conclusion.

1. For those who may not be familiar with Fuchs Events + Incentives, can you outline the company’s origins and its development until now?
FUCHS is an owner-operated company, working in the MICE business for more than 20 years. We design and organise individual and challenging corporate events. In our work, we aim for the highest of standards and the optimal implementation of events. A binding and personal contact with customers and partners is especially important to us. Fuchs has established itself as a brand not only in our region but in the whole of Germany. The key characteristic of our work is our quality guarantee, which is based on on-site management. We look after every event personally and on-site. This way we ensure the smooth running and realization of an event according to the client’s wishes.

The Fuchs team consists of highly experienced professionals from the tourism and events industry. Our project managers have great expertise, regional know-how, and professional vision. One of the key factors of our success is the balanced mix of longstanding employees and those that offer a breath of fresh air. We are at the cutting edge as a practical partner in the dual study program.

2. What are the company’s main areas of expertise and what is its geographical reach? Our core business is the conception and organisation of high-ranking events. We exploit our strengths in terms of both large, logistically complicated events and conceptually challenging incentives. Using our experience, comprehensive insider knowledge and broad network of excellent regional partners, we can either take over the complete organisation of a project or support other agencies by providing individually tailored parts of the program. Societies and associations are among our customers too. Our focus is on Dresden, Leipzig and Saxony, Berlin and Thuringia. However, at the request of our long-term clients, we also work in Europe now, identifying the right local partners that fit with the Fuchs ethic. alt

3. How do you work with clients to ensure that their goals are achieved?
We seek personal contact with the client before planning gets under way. It is vital to mutually establish the aims of the event in detail and to consult with clients time and again during the program. This regular close co-operation and bilateral feedback are as important to us as extensive briefings of all partners involved and reliable event schedules. As we like to tie clients and guests emotionally to the destination, it is very important to us that they – beyond the context of the conference – remember the location too. We develop events with heart, soul and creativity. Whether gaining a look behind the scenes or local insider tips, you will always experience the setting in an interactive manner. We gladly face the challenge of linking the client’s business goals to regional opportunities and peculiarities – thus generating a sustainable memory of the event.

4. Can you give us a few examples of what you perceive of as the best and most successful events that you have organised?
The high-end launch of a luxury watch by a well-known manufacturer was recently a great success for both the client and us. We were proud to organise this top-class event for international specialist journalists, putting on exclusive showings and factory tours with simultaneous translations, gourmet catering and a tailor-made artistic concept. For an international operating industrial association, we developed and implemented a new evening concept in the context of a conference. We created a “market of possibilities” with the purpose of improving the relationship between exhibitors and visitors. During the evening, guests could visit high-quality events in close contact with exhibitors. This resulted in lively and successful expert discussions.

We would also highlight the organisation, implementation and on-site coordination of a high-profile celebration of a regional manufacturer’s jubilee, including a ceremonial ceremony with high-ranking guests from the worlds of politics and economics. The event also comprised an open day for the public, employees and families on the company’s premises. Here, all our expectations were exceeded as we welcomed about 10,000 visitors. This event was the beginning of our enhanced co-operation with local consumers, something that is very important to us. We are proud to support the local economy with our ideas and work.alt
